Protected Password Warning

This message box appears whenever you type a protected username or password into a website that Rapport does not recognize.
When you log into a protected website, Rapport remembers the username and the password that you used for login.

Rapport then monitors information that you enter into other websites, and when you enter text that matches the protected password or username into a website that Rapport does not recognize, the Protected Password Warning message box appears.

For example, the website www.yourbankhere.com is a Rapport-protected website. If you log into www.yourbankhere.com using (for example) the username "user123" and the password "pass567", both terms "user123" and "pass567" will become protected. If you then go to a website that Rapport does not recognize, and type "user123" or "pass567" anywhere in this website, the following message box will appear.

The purpose of this message box is to verify that the website into which you are currently submitting information, is not asking for the credentials of another website. This is also known as a Phishing attack. In the above example, Rapport wants to ascertain that the website www.sourbankhere.com is not pretending to be www.yourbankhere.com and that it is not trying to tempt you to enter your www.yourbankhere.com credentials into it.

When this message box appears:

• Click Send to send your login information to another website; Click Don't Send if you do not want to send your login information to another website.

• Click How to decide for more information on how to decide between the two options.

Note that if you type a protected username or password into a website that is trusted by Rapport by default, Rapport will not pop up this message box in the website.
